Our first day will be packed full of visits to all the region’s sightseeing hotspots, with the first stop at the top of Signal Hill adjacent to Lions Head for a glorious view over the city. Hugging the beautiful coast line our route takes us past the Twelve Apostles mountain range and over to Hout Bay where we stop atop Chapmans Peak to take in another iconic view. Never leaving the coast we make our way past Misty Cliffs to the Cape Point Nature Reserve for lunch. Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope are a must-see for all visitors to South Africa. After lunch we ride along the False Bay coast through the sleepy towns of Simonstown, and Muizenberg, before heading inland towards Stellenbosch and the Cape Winelands and our accommodation for the night. Not a long day in the saddle, but crammed full of photo opportunities.
After a sumptuous breakfast we take leave of Beautiful Stellenbosch and wind our way up the scenic Hellshoogte mountain pass, passing some of the country’s most exclusive wine estates before arriving at the historical town of Franchhoek. This culturally rich and beautiful little wine farming town stands at the bottom of another epic stretch of mountain pass that we later ascend for many exquisite photo opportunities of the view across the valley. After dropping down to the Theewaterskloof Dam we pass through the small town of Villiersdorp and meander through the valleys towards Worcester. After a stop for lunch we progress to the tight and twisty Bainskloof Pass, a National Monument. This historical pass was built in 1849 and is 28km long, has 205 corners and is motorcycle riding heaven. After a couple of stops for pictures and to enjoy the views, we arrive at our luxury accommodations to overnight in Wellington.
On the last day of our trip we slowly wind our way back to Cape Town on all the roads less travelled, passing through the beautiful winemaking area of Paarl. A leisurely lunch stop at a wine estate and then we make tracks for the coast again before the last leg of our journey back to Cape Town.

Having had limited time at my disposal in Cape Town i opted for the three day tour option and can report that all my expectations were exceeded by far. The route selection on all three days was visually stunning and well planned to allow ample photo taking opportunities. The lunch stops and overnight accommodation were excellent and in general i can highly recommend this tour package to anyone.Full marks to Gavin for an exceptional experience.
